It's been two years since Josep Font is working as the creative director of Spanish house DelPozo and it was only a month ago, while I was leafing through Telva magazine, that I found this former architect of buildings who is now [in my opinion] an architect of couture.
He studied Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia just to please his parents although fashion have always been his greatest passion [I know someone just like him!]. After some recognition his father told
him - "Do what you want, but whatever you do, you have to be the best" and so it all began.
Creator Jesús del Pozo had passed away in 2011 due to a lung infection and the company was bought by Perfumes & Diseño, and just like that, in the twinkling of an eye, Font elevated a 39 year old brand to a whole different level.
We'll be hearing a lot more from him in the future as this is his second show in New York. All pieces are made in Spain [and you can find them here].
